Misty old bean......where did you find that tasty looking frosted glass your efes came in?..getting hard to find ..used to be everywhere.....

Foto's Pizza did frosted Efes glasses last year. It was our first drink of the holiday....perfect.

i went to Fener and Fotos this year and didn't get a frosted Glass

don't want to walk all the way to Kalamar beach for a frosty glass!!

Oh dear not good I'm sure I also had a frosty glass in Kleo....and my OH had a Gin Fizz which are always very frosty

The frostiest Efes i have encountered has to be when mrs L went to the loo at 3.30 am while i drank up before leaving the bar we were in.......it was the frosty look i got when she discovered Lizard man had got another round in(one for the road).......brrrrrr that was cold!!

.....but Wheeey Heeey! it's holiday!!

Frosted glasses at the Kalkan Cafe fast food (opposite Corner), definitely at Fener at lunchtime and also our roof terrace...

Thank you Eniste for remembering the ladies. I do enjoy my glasses of white wine. I have been keeping in practice ready for my next visit in two weeks. I tried the Efes for the first time last year and have taken to that as well. There will be some Efes waiting for me in the fridge on arrival - perhaps I should ask our local agent to put the glasses in there as well so they are nicely chilled. Lovely and refreshing after the long journey from England.

I know this is going off topic but we have just tried some white wine from India - Waitrose are selling it at the moment.

Never tried Indian wine but remember being very confused (for many reasons) in the Czech Republic - the beer was fantastic (try and get Velkopopovicky Kozel at your supermarket) but the best red wine was called blue and the best white green!

Hi, found it in Tesco at the weekend!! Only wish it was as cheap in Tesco as it is in Kalkan, still OH wasn't complaining 'cause I treated him to 4 bottles!!

This has been a very positive thread ... so here we go - I have never had an Efes anywhere other than in Turkey. Is it really that good or does Kalkan make it taste better? How about opening this up a bit and having a vote for your favourite beer in the world? I'll start with Wadworths 6X from Devizes and the above-mentioned Kozel from near Prague. Any more?

Don't like Bitters or Real ale..(why do so many that do have handle bar moustaches?mmm?)....my favourite is Peroni,very nice Italian beer.....i genuinly like Efes and drink it at least once a week in my local W/spoons....i would of course prefer to drink it in Kalkan but my life is here in the UK
