well it couldnt last forever

we arrived at dalaman on 4th may to torrential rain and it continued all the way to kalkan and for the rest of the day. Tuesday was overcast but then the remaining 12 days were glorious. I think we left just in time as it was getting very hot (I was burning while eating breakfast before 9am yesterday!). It was also getting much busier, I preferred the first week as it was pretty quiet and you certainly didnt need to make reservations for a front table on the terraces

Its a lovely place, dont think we had a bad meal and most were excellent (although I really dont want to look at my bank statement now!).

Had a few trips out - tlos and saklikent very interesting although the water in the gorge was too high to cross, kayaking to kekova, canoeing down xanthos and paragliding over kas especially enjoyable.

Glad you enjoyed it - I prefer early May as well, oh and mid September
