I checked in for my flight at Manchester yesterday and was surprised to see someone sitting in the lounge threading beads onto a 6-9inch stainless steel knitting needle.
Now whilst I realise that knitting is a safe pasttime, this needle definately had the potential to do your eye or neck some serious damage in the wrong hands.
Why oh why if you can''t take moisturiser, can you take NEEDLES? I asked the security staff, and apparently Knitting Needles are except from the current restrictions.
Is it just me, or is this country getting crazier?
