Jewel in the Crown - excursions?
« on: June 02, 2008, 03:45:21 PM »
Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone who has travelled with Jewel in the Crown before knows if they run excursions?
When I have been to Kalkan before it has been with Tapestry, and they have always done a meeting the first morning with the rep at one of the hotels, providing information and giving guests the chance to sign up for excursions.
Do Jewel in the Crown run a similar set-up?

Thanks in advance :)

My OH is so laid back, he''s pretty much horizontal so I thought I''d start having a think about what we can squeeze into our 7 days in Kalkan as I know otherwise it wont happen!!

Jewel use Adda Tours excursions - I think there is a list of them on Enjoykalkan somewhere so you can have a look on here.

Thanks everyone :D

I don''t want to upset Wendy and make her lose any commission or anything, but I am a rather skint student so may at the risk of being cheeky book one trip with the discount in advance :

Thanks again

You dont need to book in advance Duckling, just call into any AddaTours office, mention EnjoyKalkan and the discount will be applied, or for further advice feel free to email bookings@enjoykalkan.com

Hope that helps

Jon

I recently went on an excursion that I booked through Thomas Cook but didn''t realise at the time that it was one of the Adda tours.  It was the full day to Myra and Kekova which cost £30 and was well worth it so the 20% discount would have made it a really good price.

They do,your representative will be Victoria. In fact all the main operators ( Anotolian Sky, Thomson, Exclusive Escapes, Thomas Cook etc) are able to book excursions for their guests. The representative will usually visit your property on the first day- most of these welcome visits are relatively low key.

Yes to gulet trips - and the river trip to Patara is a canoeing trip which is very popular, not too strenuous and a good fun day out.  Starting at Xanthos you canoe down the river until it meets the sea at the Letoon end (not the popular end) of Patara Beach.
