My hubby has just phoned from work and in todays Daily mail there is an article about Kalkan,

One of his colleagues pointed it out to everyone in the office stating that it looked a lovely place ,and my hubby was able to say thats where we are going in 4 weeks yipee.

I am off to get the Dail Mail

Hi,
     Just read the Daily Mail, interesting article.  All good remarks about Kalkan.  Back out again in four weeks time.     But I have some painting to do

Hi - we too saw the article in the Daily Mail yesterday, which mostly said good things about Kalkan.  We''re due to come out for the first time this year on Monday week, so are looking forward to our visit and looking to see what changes have taken place over the winter, always an interesting exercise!

Do you know whether the new road has opened up yet?

Hi all,
Just back,travelled along the new road. Unfortunately not open as yet. Still to be surfaced. They still have to break through at the garage. Still breaking up rocks so a lot of noise but not blowing things up anymore as earlier on in the year. The noise is to stop by 15th May??

Sorry Roxie but the work will go on irrespective of the 15th May noise deadline as it is a National project and it needs to be finished as the Basbakan is poised to open it ....insallah

Sorry about that but I think the locals meant all the heavy work breaking up the rocks will be finished, so less noise. They said that the road should be open by August. We will see!
