I have to say for anyone not having done this trip they are really missing out!!
Fantastic scenery, set high up in the mountains above Kalkan.
Food was superb and plentiful!
Pool was very fresh.
The company was excellent.
Well done to the Kaya boys a hat trick again!!
Hi back from the Hemel crowd!!!

Kaya boys (Erol & Kadir and chef) take 2 buses a week up into the mountain village about 35 mins away (not sure of days as may of changed since june?).. food and activities included or you can just chill. beer and drinks available but you pay as you return..you can see pictures and book in Kaya restaurant ;)
People Of Britain.. When your missus asks "Does my bum look big in this? Never say "Dunno your blocking the light."... just sayin ????

The trip is on Wednesday and Saturday.
The journey took about an hour or so, as we stopped in Bezirgan on the way.

Absolutely agree with previous comments about the Kaya trip. An excellent day out, and such good value.

(It was lovely to meet you Tatilde -  I have only just logged onto Enjoy Kalkan, hence the late response from one of the Hemel crowd!!.) ;D

We explore under our own steam. Been to Berzigan but never been to Kaya. Is the village worth a visit, anywhere to eat or drink there? Might be a good idea to take a picnic and stop off somewhere pretty. All the years we've explored around and about  the Kalkan area in our boneshaking jeep, never thought of going for a picnic. Another thing to add to the to do list. Never fit it all in but will give it a damn good try. Only twelve sleeps left. Have to send my OH up the attic soon to fetch down our well worn cases. Bring it on!!

Kaya isn't a place. It's a trip organised by Erol and Kadir from the Kaya restaurant! Well worth doing.

Kaya restaurant organize this day in the mountain village which Erol originally came from.
Lots of amazing food included at the farm..drinks paid for on return to the restaurant.
Goats, rabbits, quail etc at the farm.
Fresh mountain spring water pool that is so refreshing and re-filled for every visit..lovely to swim in without chlorine or salt!!
Its a real chill out day and a stop in Bezirgan on the way up to see the old Ambers.
Leave around 10am return around 5.30-6pm
Well worth a visit and lovely to do something away from the normal touristy attractions.
We returned completely relaxed and revived...I would recommend it to all.

It's £20 each, not including drinks. Well worth every penny!  :)

This sounds like a different day out, what are the activities you mentioned? I'm compiling my bucket list for next month & so far I have visit Meis & swimming off the town beach seeing as we've never actually been down on the beach after 3 years of visits, I want to go in a mosque too. We drove over to Berzigan last time but only went to the "sheds" so would like to see it properly
