first venture into town

Been here over a week and been busy at the villa and have only visited usual haunts Cafe Vita and Chillies. Ventured into town and a bit disappointed. I was all for the improvements but you can see it seems to have been a bit rushed. The smooth paving that i believed people were supposed to walk on are so close to the buildings that they could hardly be used. Plenty of obstacles in the way to stop you using them anyway. The cobbles are quite uneven and the grit used in between a bit of a mess. Some places seem some way from being ready and others don't appear like they will open at all. Still gets to me the amount of litter around, not just around town but elsewhere. I have already been out cleaning up my area. Traffic volumes a nightmare. Why don' t they just start charging for parking as in Fethiye for example. And the dogs. More than ever. I thought there was a charity helping to manage this. Kennels required. Other than that Kalkan is wonderful.
