As it happened, my husband had a mild Lazarus moment and felt just about well enough to go for a casual bite to eat somewhere close to home. So we ended up going for an early dinner in Touch Bistro ( which wasn't on the last at all). It was really nice and Lazarus even managed some dessert ( now that's SOME miraculous recovery). And I couldn't have him eating dessert alone so I had to have one too- Excellent decision- THE dessert of the holiday- Only 3 choices but all homemade and fantastic. We both had lemon cheesecake which I wouldn't normally go for but it was heavenly. So to the finale: well, we went to Alternatif on our last night as recommended and we thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. Food was delicious- especially those of us who ate from the BBQ- really tasty and the prawn starter was divine. There were six of us and all very happy customers! Service was great and loved that they gave us lovely big wine glasses for our red wine! (I always get a teeny bit upset when in some places they start to pour the water into the bigger of the glasses- silly I know-I just love to savour the aroma). The atmosphere was lovely and buzzy and there were 6 very happy customers at the end of the night. Derbyshire to answer your question, we really enjoyed the food in the fish terrace, though we did find it a little pretentious.
Difficult to pick an overall favourite but among the top few are Small House, Kalamaki, Sade and Alternatif- I will have to go back to Kalkan next year to sample some more of my list and your recommendations but until then thanks everyone!! And Enjoy Kalkan!!
