Adana Ocakbaşı & Kebab House
« on: July 06, 2013, 09:37:12 AM »
3 of us had a great inexpensive meal here last night (about £10 a head for 3 drinks each, mezes and mains). For a cheap restaurant they have a great roof terrace with fantastic views over the sea and the islands as well as tables at street level. It's up the side street near the Kipa supermarket and Kaya restaurant at the old Oz Adana site. They have a good choice of food. Don't be put of by the unprepossessing street level entrance and stairs. It's now being run by Bulent who has worked at the Akin for a number of years.
I personally wouldn't queue in the street to eat at the other similar named restaurant round the corner when you can be sitting on the cool roof terrace looking at a great view eating equally good food at a similar price.

Tastes obviously do differ as I went there last week and thought it wasn't very good at all and probably will not return.

Four of us all had different starters and main courses and non of them lived up to our expectations

But as I said each to their own
