Advice please re: 60th Birthday Meal

Hi 

We are going to Kalkan soon, and we have looked on Trip Advisor for places to celebrate a 60th birthday. We have short listed the following:

The Alternatif Restaurant

Mussakka Restaurant

Kalamaki Restaurant

As the birthday is only a day after we arrive, we will need to book before we go.

We have never been to Kalkan, so we don't know which restaurant to choose!!.

Do they normally supply a cake etc if we ask?

If anyone has any other restaurants to recommend that would be great too

Hi all 3 of the restaurants you have short listed are excellent so whichever you choose I am sure you won't be disappointed. Personally for a special meal I would go to Mousakka, great steaks and nice comfy sofas outside after your meal. If you let them know it is a birthday celebration, most places will organise a cake for you

We love all three, but I have to say that when we were in Mussakka over the weekend the couple on the next table were celebrating a birthday - and let's just say the ceremonial "bringing of the cake to the table" was just spectacular. Singing, clapping,  Roman candles, sparklers.. you name it, they got it!!! No=one was in any doubt that there was a birthday going on...

Totally agree Mussakka is the place to celebrate a birthday I have seen at least 4 celebrations in there during our visits this time and as Martyn says they are a spectacle to behold. In fact 11 of us are celebrating a friends birthday in there tomorow night so will let you know how that goes but I know for sure it will be great.Oh and this year the food is better than ever absolutely fabulous.

My vote goes to Mussakka too. The food is always really good. Back in Kalkan next week, and we're sure to visit Mussakka more than once.
