Hust thought I would tell you lot  stretched out on your sun loungers t hat we have sun in London....in fct I have been in my garden sun bthing and had to put cream on.If it carries on like this no need for Kalkan!!!!!! Only joking.

Hope it stays nice down your way BL as we are hopping across to the IOW on the 15th. Never been in May so would be nice to get on the beach this time.

Hi BarbH

Another beautiful morning here on the IOW! Hope it continues and you get some sunny weather when you come. Right now I,m just hoping it holds out for next weekend as hubby and I doing, or should I say, hoping to do the 26 mile "walk the wight" Have been out practising in all this horrible weather we've been having so it would be great to have a lovely day for the event. It's for a great charity, but on a selfish level I've lost some weight in readiness to dust of my swim wear for Kalkan and am hoping that I will be able to conquer those Kalkan hills that I've been hearing so much about!

I am currently wearing in my new "Kalkan Wellies"( this is the name in our house for suitable Kalkan shoes). The kids laugh at my shoes as they think they are "old ladies" but like I say, at least I will stay vertical! Well, may be the efes and G & Ts will be my downfall but not the slippery hills! 

August is getting closer, so excited!

been a nice couple of days in the northwest of England and North Wales but today is overcast...in readiness for the bank holiday weekend Snow is predicted for Scotland

It was very hot again yesterday in south east London, bit too hot for me in the garden. Never the same as being in kalkan, the only wter I can dip my feet in is the fish pond which at the moment is full of little tadpoles!!!!Today not so good, overcast and blustery but the sun  has started to show itself, not sure it is sunbathing weather though!

Suzy....good luck for the Walk the Wight walk, my niece normally does it but this year she had opted out. She lives  at Yaveland end of Sandown but I will be staying with my sister who lives in Chale Green. I love it over there, so relaxing after the bustle of London, I thought we was going next week but realise it is the week after!!!!

Back in Kalkan  end of June.

Thanks for the good luck wishes BarbH. Glorious day to day. Funnily enough we drove through Chale Green today. Yes, its a lovely part of the Island. Bet you cant wait....IOW in May and then Kalkan in June. Enjoy!
