Hi Kele,

As the server and development side of EK are now outsourced as it has become too much to manage the best option is to "bat back to the developers"

As for the cost, its something that has to be done for the site to continue and improve

All my cookies, temporary files etc. have been expunged but the issues I have personally reported remain. I am using Windows 7 on desktop and an iPad when out and about.

I think my problems actually started when I removed all the cookies on my computer and then had to log into the site again.

We had some accounts pending approval, these have been done manually hence the increase

Dear Valued Members,

In the last few months we undertook the outsourcing of some key elements of our business model including server hosting. Our aim was to use the expertise of external providers to provide a more robust service that we could expand upon during the coming months.

It has become apparent from your feedback that we got it wrong and since this change our service levels have declined which has led to a degraded experience for you, our valued members.

The decision has been taken today to terminate these contracts with immediate effect and return to in-house hosting with a view to more internal development and the continuation of our 24/7 telephone support. We expect this migration to be completed by October.

Please accept our apologies for this unexpected reduction in service and please be assured we do take the matter very seriously.

Aw, that's so nice    I have flagged a number of issues but, I hope, not in a whinge-bucket way - more in the interests of troubleshooting problems before they deter people from posting. Running a site like this is not going to be a wall to wall barrel of laughs and please be assured that the membership here massively appreciates all the behind the scenes twiddling and bashing things with spanners that goes on. I for one would put up with a fair amount of teething trouble following a revamp before I stalked off in a fit of pique, but I do appreciate and value the fact that you have taken the reins back because after all this is your baby and when the babysitter just sits on the sofa in front of the footie with a beer spilling chicken tikka masala all over your carpet it's time to kick them to the kerb.

Still having problems with site, jerking up and down it is so annoying, I  shall be gald when I am in Kalkan next Thursday 4th Oct for two weeks to see whats going on in our lovey haven.
