Glasss of wine
« on: September 04, 2012, 06:04:20 PM »
I have recently been charged 9 TL for a glass of wine in the Corner Bar.  It wasn't cold - I had to ask for ice.   And it was cheap wine too. This is totaly out of order.  Don't go there.

I would agree it's always safer to buy by the bottle, often if you order just a glass it tends to be of dubious quality, so If it's just 'a' drink I'm after I usaully opt for a spirit or cocktail, on saying that I have had only a glass at white table and it's been fine, plus a few other restaurants

Hi,

Doyum charged 24 TL for a bottle of Angora, which wasn't bad when you compare what other restaurants charge and the food was faultless by the way.

Cheapest place we found for Angora (re: supermarkets) was 'Lucky' opposite the taxi rank - 11.99 TL

Cafe Ev (oppostite market entrance) only 5.50tl - had red wine and it's served in nice big glasses and by lovely staff.
