Twin beds that can be turned into a double

Hi All
Does any of you know if you can buy twin beds that can be joined together, or single matresses that zip together? We currently have two single beds in the 2nd bedroom of our apartment but apart from school holidays when it's generally children occupying this room, it's usually couples that are our guests the rest of the season. I thought maybe a bed arrangement like this might be a good way of accommodating both if we could get hold of them. Any suggesitons?

These are now very common in hotels as it gives them flexibility, they are called zip and link and make a king size double when together. Try searching Zip and Link online.

Thanks Kalkantime, do you think I'd find them anywhere around Kalkan or if there is an online store in Turkey I could order them from? We bought our beds locally before but I'm guessing these zip and link ones maybe harder to track down.

It might be easier (and less expensive) to buy a special 'twin bed doubler' that turns 2 singles into a double by lying on top of both and so getting rid of the gap in between.

I know, we've been meaning to get one for ages - it's just like a thin band that secures around the join and plugs the gap comfortably. You seem to be able to get them for under a tenner online and v easy to take over with you in your case. It's also easier for apartment managers to deal with as simplicity is the key...

We have this system and are currently using it with our guests.  It is a wide nylon strap with plastic buckles like luggage straps and it has a synthetic sheepskin down the middle to cover the depression where the beds join.  In the US it is sold as 'Create-a-King'.  There was one online store in the UK selling this but they would not send it to me abroad so I bought it on eBay US and had it sent here to Kalkan.
