Meydan Adana
« on: May 22, 2012, 09:09:15 PM »
Had a very good meal tonight at Meydan Adana. Lamb shish, mixed pide, a bottle of wine with free salad and free coffee and cake. All for 50 lire.

No, that is the Hunkar, Onelove.
The Meydan is on the roundabout at the taxi rank end of the village , opposite the old school.
There - over there, there are.            To - Going to
Their - belongs to them.                     Too - In addition, Also
They're - Short for they are.

Pedant! me?

Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

Painted blue and white. Try the set menu. Chicken shish, chips and salad plus a large Efes for 17 lire. No fancy seating area, just good food served by nice people. Check how many Turkish people eat there. Says it all for us.

Can't believe we hadn't been to this gem before now. Had a fabulous lunch here today. Had the chicken sis special - fabulous and huge portions. Too much even for me and that's saying something!  OH had a fab pide. All that as well as fresh made flatbread chilli tomato relish and yoghurt &dill us 2 efes for 28 lire. £10 for a feast. Amazing. The folk who run it are a delight. Back there tomorrow!

Went to Adana last night. The two hot pots were tasteless, no herbs or spices, mine had big chunks of almost raw potoato and no flavour whatsoever, it was much better last year so not sure what happened.

Oz Adana do good spicy food.  They have moved up the hill towards the D400 but certainly last year it was the spiciest food I had and yummy too.
