Antler's Earth Moved.....
« on: June 12, 2012, 05:31:55 PM »
The Miny Chopper ground to a halt. Antler mopped his brow, showered and dived in the pool. Job done. It was going really well until 4pm when I realised the final garnish in any Paella, has to be a cup of frozen peas. No frozen peas. So back down to Yali, to the sounds of Mrs A saying, "you must be mad".  2 minutes to Yali, spied some fresh courgettes, and thought they would go a treat in it, too, and TL3.4 later we were back up the hill, steering well clear of a session in Ev.
I can now do the hill quite well, feeling only like a coronary for the last 10 - 15 meters of incline. On Saturday, I was fit for the ambulance half way up. Maybe an excess of Smirnoff Blue is good for you, afterall?

The sun was at the best place, 45 degree angle over the pool and this was my ideal moment. My little bit of paradise time. I fetched down some white UPV chairs from our bedroom balcony, angled one to the setting sun over the pool, poured a Blue, Cranberry, Tonic and fresh lime juice, and let the rays engulf me.
Bieber (as in Justin) was asleep on one of the sun beds. Poppy was off on the prowl, but she will be back later. I sprayed some more Factor 30 on my face, led back and felt the strength in the fading rays. Totally relaxed and content, I reached for my drink,  just as I felt the earth move. Except, it wasn't the earth. One by one, the legs of the UPVC chair gave up the will to live and snapped and shot off across the patio.
Mrs A and Ollie shot and grabbed an arm each, as my arse hit the tiles.
And guess what?
I never spilled one drop of my drink.
And Bieber, the selfish little pussy, didn't flinch an inch.
Not sure how I will get this part of the torso massaged, even here in Kalkan....
Steve

If anyone knows a good use for 3 legged plastic chairs, I've got 2 here in the UK... don't trust them plastic ones anymore they give zero warning! Not spilling a drop, now that what I call talent, if you can do it again for the camera you will become a celebrity on youtube overnight..

keep the reports flowing.
I have a very responsible position...

Ha ha ha. Love it.

If at all possible, your reports are even better than previous years.  When are you bringing out the cook book?   :D :D
Currently have a duplex apartment in Kiziltas which we visit as often as we can.

Having given further thought to your predicament (whilst cooking my tea not up to your standard I'm afraid) I reckon you can get your arse massaged at the Atlantis Turkish Bath and we can all massage your ego :) Hope you are not too bruised but perhaps a boat trip is called for and a glass of two of Lal

uPVC chairs once exposed to the sun consistently, after a while gets brittle and has been known to cause injury to end user! take care!
