Sun Elite or Mediterranean Apartments?
« on: March 29, 2012, 08:50:56 AM »
Hi again!

After a long search we have narrowed it down to two apartments and just wondered if anyone has any experience of these apartments with regards to size and location.

The first one is the top floor at the Sun Elite complex and the second one i think is the top floor at the B3 block at the Mediterranean Apartment complex? Not 100% that this is the case so if anyone can confirm this that would be great. The website doesnt advertise that its at the Mediterranean complex but when i clicked through on the map it did seem to be.

Sun Elite 3 - http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk/turkey/tk1743.htm

Mediterranean Apartment  - http://kalkanvillasandapartments.co.uk/Penthouse.aspx

Any help much appreciated

Thank you!

Sun elite is opposite the Thursday market...very tastefully done..only a couple of mins from supermarkets might be qieter than med apps.
we stayed at med apps some years ago..you are right the picture is of med apps, although 5 pools in apps they can get busy depending on apps occupancy...that being said you still aren't crammed! it is only a couple of mins to the top of town cut through by car park oppposite
out of the 2 i would say Sun Elite fewer apps, nice balcony to eat on. but that is only my opinion and i have no connection with anyone from either ;)

Haven't experienced either but just looking at the two I would go for the Sun Elite!  Shade looks better and the general feel is a higher standard than the other one.  Good position, the views should be great.  :)

depends on whether you like walking...?
The Med apartments are very central and the Sun Elite are right up by the Thursday market. Lots of hills to climb on the way back - good to neutralise the Efes consumption ;D The Sun Elite have a very handy cafe bar underneath them now too.

Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

I agree about location.....we like to be central and the Mediterranean are very well located. Haven't seen the other apartments but can recommend the Mediterranean. We went last October and it was very quiet, but then it was out of season.

We are returning this year for a 6th year in a row and have rented a penthouse in Mediterranean as this the ideal location for us as it is a few minutes from town but is quiet. We have stayed up the hill in previous years, but prefer to be closer to town to be able to walk back and forth easily. Location is great.

Antler has stayed at both, so can give an honest comparison of them. I think he used to hook up to the wi-fi at Chillies to do his blog whilst at the Mediterranean Apartments.
We've stayed at the Mediterranean Apartments, and agree it's a great location. We used to use the facilities of the Samira Garden Hotel next door too.

Thank you everyone for your replies and info. We have decided on the sun elite apartments. Nothing wrong with the Mediterranean but feel that the sun elite will offer a little more luxury and privacy, both of which we are fans of  ;D! Also the cafe ev which Antler talks about in his latest report sounds fab and very handy to have nearby.

Thanks again, Tuppy

Excellent choice, Tuppy, although both are very good. The walk back up to the Sun Elite is :-)very good for you - apparently!

Don't forget to ask Cafe Ev to come and serve you dinner, if you go for a chill out evening in one night......very relaxing.

Enjoy,

Antler

SE3 also has a small courtyard at the back, and the bar/sitting area at the side.It has a great view, and a lot of natural breeze coming through it.I think there is a new supermarket round the corner as well as the Yali.

Great apartment. We stayed there a couple of years ago. At the time it needed a lick of paint to spruce it up and some new bed linen but it is a fabulous apartment and great location. We may well be in touch in the future.
