Hello from South America :)
« on: February 23, 2012, 07:38:53 PM »
Hi everyone,

I'm new here and decided to join as I have found quite useful information from your collective contributions! From South America, and I plan to make my first trip to Turkey, and Kalkan (staying at the Prince Patara resort) at the end of April.

I do hope all of the places of interest will be opened around that time ( read something to the effect that some places are seasonal) and so I can discover what makes Kalkan a wonderful place to visit!

Will probably be seeking advice on places in Kalkan and nearby and look forward to hearing from you :) Thanks!

Hi Ryss

We have a villa in Patara Prince and will be there at the end of April too. We go about that time every year. It is lovely at the resort in late April/May, very chilled out and not too busy. The main pools will be open and we usually manage to have a swim too as the weather is quite pleasant.

I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time  ;D

Hi Ryss
Lovely to welcome a new member.  I have been in May before and it's a beautiful time of year; not too hot, not too cold and everything open. ENJOY big time!

Thanks for the welcome Skunk! I look forward to exploring the town, and also the historical attractions - one of the main reasons I chose the area. Thank You :)

Hi Ryss, I'm sure you will have a fantastic holiday, welcome to the forum and I look forward in anticipation to your holiday report! Please write a report and let us know how you felt abput Kalkan.
It's always good to hear a first timer's opinion. I also need my fix of holiday reports! Over the winter I have kept myself occupied reading and re-reading old ones to get a little"fix" of lovely Kalkan!!  ;D

Think you might be the first South American that's posted Ryss. Great to know we're reaching people from other countries too.

"At the point where the Caribbean meets South America on its North Atlantic seaboard lies an almost unknown, but incredibly wonderful land of unspoilt beauty, where the virgin rainforest leads to the Amazon Basin. Where the jungle is still unexplored, rivers uncharted and mountains yet to be climbed.".......Guyana.  8)

Ooh! I'll definitely consider that a special honour Mrs EK  ;D One picture convinced me to book at Patara Prince, and it worked to convince the others also.

Onelove, I am duly impressed at your knowledge of far off lands ;)

If you have time and have an interest,  be sure to look at this resort that is a wilderness explorer's dream :)
