Income Tax Forms

Hi Everyone and a happy New Year to you all.

I am in England and desperate to get hold of an income tax form to complete for my rental income from the property in Kalkan. I have followed the advice of previous posts re: tax and have had no response from the email addresses detailed. The Turkish Embassy just said they couldn't help.

I paid income tax last year but used an accountancy company who cost me a fortune. They did everything OK but it would appear you can get the forms and get English versions and complete them yourself, which I would much rather do.

Please, please, please does anyone know where I can definately get hold of these forms as I am very aware that they need to be completed and submitted in March.

I would be truely grateful for some assistance.

Taxes are due in two annual installments, the first payment being due on March 15 (some say March 20).  Last year the correct tax form was 1001B but I could not find it online.  In any case, even if you find the form, you must either take it to Kas and pay in cash in the tax office or give it to an accountant to pay for you.  We paid an accountant in Kalkan only TL 40 last year to file both installments of our rental income tax form (although a Turkish friend took the information to her).  I suspect her fees have gone up a bit this year but not very much higher.  You will find an accountancy office in the building to the left of Yali.  Birgül and Nurgül.

I obtained an English translation from the Turkish Embassy by email so I don't have a link to it.

You can pay in one instalment at the end of March in either lira or sterling at the Ak Bank in Moorgate in London, however you need the Kas Tax Office bank details.  You may also be able to pay at other Turkish banks in London.

However if you can find the accountant mentioned by Cosetta who only charges 40 TL to do the work that seems a real bargain.
