Waiting in line as you do at passport control, inbound Gatwick, a couple behind me were complaining having to wait so long because they didnt have a new passport to allow them through the new " Rectal Scanners"!
However, the other travellers were fine with the Retinal Scanners!!
Anyone else have funny tales to tell of their travels

Well, there was the woman who, a few years ago in one of Kalkan's rooftop restaurants, when asked what she would like for dessert, said she would have the "balaclava".

The waiter managed to keep a straight face at the time, but we still laugh with him about this.

My friend was going to Spain and told his daughters they were flying over the Andes.
One of the stewardesses overheard and got the pilot to add to the landing announcement advising the passenger in seat number whatever, that he could get a connection to Peru from Malaga.
He has never lived it down with his family.

My mate Mick was late getting to the pub...when i said "your late mate"..he said "Yeh i know,i had to take the cat to the vets to get Nurtured".....now if i was a cat i would prefer to be nurtured rather than have my nuts cracked!! $:-\$ $:-\$ $:-\$

Many moons ago, Chris and I were flying to Majorca, (on a Dan Air Comet 4, anyone remember those?) when, as we were flying over the French/Spanish border, a lady looked out of the window and remarked to her companion, "Oh look, we are flying over the Pyramids."

Dan Air Comet!! Not only have I not been on one about 6 times I have also never heard of them

I was taking her to a tea shop she wanted to visit and she couldn't remember the exact location when we eventually (a good hour or so later...) got to somewhere she vaguely recognised she exclaimed "its definitely around here...definitely in the "virginity"

I remember the Comet 4b. It was my first ever holiday abroad when I was 21 - a 14 day, full board COSMOS Holiday to Loret del Mar in Spain. I was in the seat closest to the tail and sat on the metal bars of the seat as the springs had gone. It was 14 days of September sunshine - pure bliss! I also remember the lunch being fried egg, mashed potato and tomato sauce, that was cold when it reached your table.

But I loved every minute and haven't stopped travelling since.....

Ah the Comet, I seem to remember having your own fixed table with seating around it for four like in a railway carriage, space and comfort. Not like the sardine tin experience these days. Chris is ok in the standard seats, but we normally pay for the extra legroom seats if we can't blag them, cos I'm a bit long!
