Hi Barb,

There is a shop opposite images watches, I can't remember the name now. I bought a 'Mulberry' from there in 2009 and it's still as gorgeous as the day I bought it. It's aged like a genuine - my mum has the genuine version of the one I bought and its aged in a similar way. I still get comments on it. The BSG leather shop is also amazing. Either of them do fab believable copies. Louis Vuitton ones can be quite obvious though so take a picture of the real thing to compare.

can anyone tell me prices as prices on the bsg site are very expensive, i got a prada style one a few year ago in marmaris & was onl £40 & is still fab to this day. most of them are

on the bsg site . thanks. oh & will be my 1st time in kalkan this year

BSG,Class Leather and Misty May all have high quality leather handbags.Some are copies and some just nice leather bags.Not cheap but quality leather,you can buy bags on the market for 10 lira but they look like a 10 lira bag!!
Whilst they may seem expensive,from my experience good bags shops in Fethiye and Kas are no cheaper nowdays.

I always buy from Ertan and Maria at BSG. Jeffry does sell beautiful bags but when it's a matter of pennies, BSG I think has the edge. I also travel into Kas and top the Mrs's collection up with bags bought there. They seem to be more receptive there to cash bargaining than Kalkan.

I ended up getting a bag from the market! Cost about £25 but it was what she wanted in size and price and everyone was happy.

My hiusband has had swatches for years, loves the plastic strap ones as he can go in the water with them. The other week the strap broke and he went into the Swarch shop in Bluewater to buy a new watch. The assistant asked him why he wanted a new one when his old one only needed a new strap. apparently you can have the straps renewed free for life of the watch! Comnsidering it only cost £28 in the first place you canmot grumble at that!!!

I agree with Bazza. BSG on the main street opposite Merkez cafe is my favourite place. Ertan and Maria are lovely people, and have an amazing collection of top quality handbags. ... And the beauty of this place ladies, is that you can park any bored husbands in the Merkez across the road to drink dirty beer to their heart's content while you shop in peace.

BSG is thoroughly reputable. Husband and wife team, Ertan and Maria. You can buy in confidence of good service and product quality. Cannot vouch for customs though, although haven't heard of any horror stories.

Well I can't tell the difference between them either. Are the bags in bsg all over £100 though as I still think a lot for a fake x

I wouldn't buy a bag over the internet from either BSG or Nuri - although Nuri has sent things on to me after I have left Kalkan but I'd already agreed the style, price and checked the quality. There was a thread on here last year about someone getting a very poor quality bag from BSG bought in this way - use the search facility to read about that before you make any decisions.
The quality can be a bit hit and miss - you have to know what you're looking for. For a good quality fake you are looking at £100ish sometimes more depending on the size, michelle. I'd say shop around when you are there and always barter. I have bought many bags from Nuri and also a shop in Fethiye that I can't remember the name of, just know where it's situated.
