visas again
« on: July 01, 2011, 12:26:54 PM »
I asked this question a while ago and while I had one reply the topic veered off into the price of bacon . . . . ;)
What I would like to know from those of you who pop back and forth from the UK is whether my visa - issued on May 14 and which states that the bearer can stay for 90 days out of 180 from the date issued, actually does what it says on the tin . . .
Various official websites say that it does but I'd like to know what everyone else has found. Can we just go up to passport control or do we need another visa when we go back well within the 180 days but outside the 90?
Thanks . . . and no, I'm not bringing you any bacon.

As far as I know those were the old stamps being used up.
Currently a tourist visa has to be and can be renewed every 89 days.

Up until last year we always had 90 day ones - the last two only have been 180 ones which is what made us think the rules had been changed and the embassy website seemed to suggest the same. Then we heard people saying the 90 day rule still applied . . . hey ho - nothing like a bit of Turkish bureaucracy to add to the whole Dalaman experience!

I'm afraid you'll definitely have to buy new visas on your next visit :-((

There was a thread on KTLN about this a couple of months back. Search their local news items.
