A room for the day?!.. Please help
« on: June 21, 2011, 08:10:07 PM »

Hi everyone,

We're visiting Kalkan for the first time this year, can't wait.  We arrive at Dalaman at 3am on Friday 22nd July.

We have a Villa booked but wont be able to access the villa until 2pm on that day.  (There are four of us)

We've been looking to possibly rent a family room until we can get into the villa but are finding it quite difficult as it's peak holiday time.  Does anyone know of a hotel room/apartment/small villa/ that we could rent for a few hours to freshen up and rest until we can get into the villa.

Thanks for your help

Paul & Sarah

Try the Nur hotel - its very central - and I think there were a couple of rooms they didnt let out so much last year as they hadnt been refurbished? At least it would give you somewhere to have a shower (one of the rooms had 2 bathrooms) and leave luggage etc while you get some lunch.

Hi
What about staying overnight near the airport and travelling down the following day?

It might be cheaper to book your accomodation for an extra day, if its available?
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

The Sevgi Hotel will book a family room (if they have availability) on a nightly basis. We have already done that on 2 occasions later this season.

Having had this problem many years ago, we found it much more convenient to stay 1 night in a hotel in Dalaman.  Also safer than driving for 1.5 hours to Kalkan in the middle of the night.
