Spa/Hammam
« on: June 11, 2011, 10:23:48 AM »
Hello,
We are going to Kalkan on Monday and I have been searching for somewhere to get a couples hammam - does anyone have a link to a website or an email address as I have tried getting in contact with the Likya spa with no joy.
Slightly off topic but do you know whether Accuweather is accurate as it is saying it is going to rain most of next week  ??? I have looked on KTLN weather but this is a tourist led website so can imagine it might not give you the true picture - also when it says rain, is it like english rain or more like in america where it pours down for a bit and then clears quickly?
Also, is Aubergine still there and what is the place on either side of it as we enjoyed that.
Thanks,
Sara

We went together to Patara Prince Hammam and they were fine with us going in together.  Very good practitioner there who is excellent with changing water temperatures for maximum effect.   Aubergine is still there - if you look on the KTLN website there is a webcam overlooking it.  Can't remember what's either side of it I'm afraid, but again on KTLN there is an interactive map that shows all the restaurants.  The weather looks fair at the moment on the KTLN webcams - usually if it rains it pours and then clears quickly.  >:( Have a great time.  :) :) :)

Trio is the restaurant to the right as you look at the aubergine webcam and Coast is on the left (that is fairly new so it depends how long ago you were there). I think you'd be unlucky if you got much rain at this time of year.

Yes I agree about the weather - we have been in May and not got a drop so June should be more or less rain free.  I have looked at the KTLN weather forecast and they say a few drops 2-3 evenings in the next fortnight.  The owner of the villa we have booked for August is over there and has emailed to say it's glorious and she has been in the sea - a bit chilly to get into but then fine. Have a great trip.  :) :) :) :)

Hi Sara

My husband and I went to a Hammam at Hotel Pirat and had a oil massage afterwards.  Highly recommended!
Will certainly be there again on the 30 June when we are coming to kalkan for 1 whole month!!!!!

We went in as a couple to the one in the Regency hotel. Very good it was.
