We had a meal there on the day after the opening. Food was excellent, but as you said, not as intimate and cosy as the original. Mehmet and his staff are working hard and I think this will become one of our favourites  - prices were very reasonable for a harbour side restaurant.
We do hope this will be a successful venture because Mehmet is so passionate about his food and the service offered.

For anyone who's a bit confused, Mussakka Roof Terrace (opposite Abi Travel) is still open, but has been renamed Mussakka Brasserie, with a new menu. So for people who like the cosiness of Mussakka- it's still there!  :)

Was at the opening night. Had a great time. Spoilt a bit by the JCB on the beach! Power cut also but food was excellent. THe vegetables in both restaurants and at Pisces are very very good!

Had a very nice meal at Mussakka Brasserie (the old premises, opposite Abi Travel) last night: food well-cooked and simply presented (ie without the mounds of crappy garnishes some restaurants pile onto your plate and which you never eat). Maxed out on cosiness too: because of the storm, they had the plastic covers around the restaurant closed, through which we were able to watch the pyrotechnics over the bay.
Will now have to try the new premises down near the town beach......

Just eaten in Mussakka, wow, it's fab.   2 courses for 2 people....£29, how can you better that ?

Oh, sorry forgot to say, + 2 bottles of Villa Dulcia vino......so need to add 70tl ;-))
Latest weather report...... Large outbreaks of Efes followed by intermitent spells of vodka and tonic ;-))

We tried Moussaka  restaurant  on our last journey and were frustrated with the meals, but I assume it was an 'off' night!  So many others are very excellent, but, don't ignore the coffee and desserts and wonderful casual feel and songs at The Cafe del Mar!
