Happens a lot in various countries...but why do some Brits think the rules don't apply to them in other countries.....

Misty, did you measure the height of your house when you bought it? Or, check that the surveyor had?
If you read through the piece you will see that the couple involved were apparently unaware that the building was too high as the Belidye had written to the builder, not them.
If Kalkan Belidye ever get around to measuring and applying the regulations that applied at the time of building, I'm sure that a lot of owners on this site would have problems.
There - over there, there are.            To - Going to
Their - belongs to them.                     Too - In addition, Also
They're - Short for they are.

Pedant! me?

Strange that the house next door looks exactly the same height or a tad higher???shouldn't a solicitor pick this up if indeed problems had been noted?? i'd be hard pushed to tell if my house was 40cm higher than it should be as i'm sure most folk....i will measure tomorrow with a ruler and my trampoline ::)
People Of Britain.. When your missus asks "Does my bum look big in this? Never say "Dunno your blocking the light."... just sayin ????

 ta ta for now
