D400 at Komurluk
« on: March 28, 2011, 12:13:22 AM »
Hi all, Chris and I are wondering how the D400 is progressing by The Komurluk Apartments.  Is the service road in place? We are looking forward to our Week at The Apartments in May. We understand the work will have stopped for the season by then! Any info would be gratefully received.

                                                       Cheers, Chris and Allan.  8)

AllanChris, it looks as though the service road passes in front of the apartments from the pics on EK gallery. They'll have to get a wriggle on if its going to be completed before May.....although my understanding is that roadworks are exempt from this rule? Perhaps the Feds can update us on KTLN as we don't appear to have had a roads article for a while.
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

Hi all, i am coming to the Komurluk Apartments 2nd to 16th May.KTLN has just posted an article to do with the water update situation. They are talking about water supplies being cut off at the end of April into early May,possibly for two weeks. The article also states the road works will stop on the 4th May.Have a look at the update if you can.Good luck

Certainly not a good thing Mayday1, and it looks like you will be there in the middle of it! Best of luck!  I just hope that we can walk into Kalkan by the old road route from the service road and that taxis can make it directly to the Komurluk Apartments.

Thanks for all your replies. Any more info would be gratefully received.

Cheers, Chris and Allan.

Hi there,as i own the apartment at the Komurluk apartments,i have been keeping a close eye on the road developments.I dont know if you have stayed there before, but if you have you will know the parking bays for the apartments, where taxis usually pull up.The service road runs along this road and continues to Kizla.Taxi drivers coming from Dalaman will go straight past the original turn off for the apartments and continue to the Kizla turn and then come back to our apartments. This service road has also opened up at the Kalkan end,so hopefully no need to walk into Kalkan via D400 (take your life in your hands time). Also they are opening up a coastal walkway/path that leads direct from Komurluk to the beach, which again should be open for the start of the season.Of course, how good, bad or indifferent these roads etc are will only become evident once we go there.Have fun.I love the Komurluk Apartments and i am sure you do to.

Re The water situation.
KTLN has an update this morning and it's not good news if you are there in early April.
There - over there, there are.            To - Going to
Their - belongs to them.                     Too - In addition, Also
They're - Short for they are.

Have stayed there many times and yes, we love it. The view is the best you could hope for, and the peace is heavenly (or perhaps it was!)

All the best, Chris and Allan.
