Trip to Meis in April

We are holidaying in Kalkan 2nd and 3rd week of April and are aware that most organised trips and excursions will not yet have started for the season. I was thinking that a good day trip be a dolmus to Kas, ferry over to Meis for a wander around then back to Kalkan. Would this be do-able in a Day? Alternative suggestions wellcomed.

the trip to Meis can be done in a day., There are 2 boats that go regularly to the island as they take people to get their visas stamped.  You would need to find out what day they are going out on, as out of season the trip is not daily like it is when the season is underway.  Use either Altug or Meis Xpress, they sail about 10.30am but you need to be there about 9.15/9.39am with your passports.  Altug go on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays but if the weather is bad that may change.  We paid 40lira each for the trip with altug they usually stay for a shorter time out of season as most people are just there for the visa and have visited several times.  Also the duty free shop was closed in December but we always get a glass of complimentary wine from the captain on the way back, a nice touch we think.
