Meeting with the Jandarme

I thought yesterday's meeting with the Jandarme of kalkan and kas went very well and left residents with a great feeling of reassurance. I particularly liked the idea of  I.D. numbers for expats so the Jandarme can easily find their home and get to them quickly in an emergency.

That's interesting. How does one get an ID number? Is it compulsory? I couldnt find a report of it on KTLN.
Are the ID numbers for owners, residents or anyone that spends a lot of time in Kalkan?
What else was discussed and did a lot of people go? Please can you let us have more information?

I think KTLN reported on it twice, last time fairly recently. Try doing a search.

Thank you Denners I have now found out how to register for an ID number but couldn't find a report on what was discussed at the meeting yesterday.
