The weather - just have to say this...

Today (Sat Oct 9th) it was 25 degrees in Brighton (so my car said), the sun shone, the sky was blue and the sea was calm and glittering.  How was it in Kalkan today?  Oh, I do miss it!!

  you were the lucky one then! it was cold in kalkan yesterday, i doubt it got to 18c! and the wind was freezing. was out in october last year and had a day as cold as that. looking better for today though

Brighton - 25 degrees - are you sure UK Brighton and not USA Brighton?  As the crow flies (straight line - no Efes!) - 40 miles away.   COLD, thick clouds - car told me 16 degrees!!! :'( :'( :'(

amazing warm sunny weather here in North Wales today - just need the views, the Lal and the choice of restaurants Kalkan has to make it a perfect day
maryjane, you'll be surprised at how different weather can be 40 miles away...I commute from here to Liverpool everyday (44 miles on the road) and have often set out from home in sandals and sundress only to reach a rain-soaked Liverpool

Love North Wales,scenery Snowdonia almost as good as Taurus mountains.  Sigh!   I have a 10 mile commute (Can take 1 hour) -have left home in snow, looking a twit in heavy duty clothing, then local town moaning about frost!   Sooner shiver in Kalkan than teeth chatter here!

Don't know what part of town you are in Bassett but it was much hotter than that in Kiziltas, I was outside most of the morning and early afternoon in my bikini. I then walked to town in a sundress and still found it lovely and hot.

Yes I'm sure, and today (Sunday) my car said 27 degrees!  The beach was packed this afternoon, although I didn't see anyone swimming for some reason... lots of windsurfers though.  However, my car is French (Picasso) and may be prone to exaggeration!
Still, I'd rather be in Kalkan

 The weather here in Surrey was beautiful too yesterday. Sunny, blue skies and warm for this time of year 25 degrees in the garden in the afternoon though they say it is going to get cooler as this week goes on supposed to be good again today.
Roll on next trip to Kalkan

That was how I felt when I went swimming around Kekova - it will stay with me forever - and that's the reason for my nickname, and picture!  That and the fact I fell in love with Kalkan and wanted to stay for ever...
