Wine enquiry

haven't been a big wine drinker so would normally drink vodka at dinner but sometimes the mixers can be too much.
Can anyone advise which of the more usual wines in Kalkan would be most similar to White Pinot Grigio.

Try the white Angora not really like Pinot Grigio but quite quaffable.

Angora beyaz (white) is very dry indeed to my palate (and I like my white wines dry!). I find it quite acidic too. Others you might want to try are Kavak, Ozel Kav and Cankaya.
 
One of the best whites we've found in Kalkan is Serafin (not Sevilen) Sauvignon (if you like sauvignon blanc), but it's for special occasions only (as in "ooh, the sun was out today - let's have a bottle of Serafin Sauvignon"), as it comes in at about 50 TL a bottle! Korsan and the Fish Terrace do it...........

Thanks Mags, will stay away from Angora because of the acid then but give the others a try.

this time drank Angora white and LAL - a rose....  both good for turkish wime IMO...
