due to fly out on friday with kibris and by chance looked at the website this evening to find that all flights have been suspended due to financial problems. have been lucky to get another flight a day earlier. they are hoping to resolve the problem but who knows?

  Yikes you must have been frantic. We're due to fly a week on Thursday with Onur Air but as yet no tickets, so keeping everything crossed!!

good job you looked at their website Ian...imagine turning up at the airport on Friday to find there are no flights...nightmare! Did you manage to get a refund for the cancelled flights?

think we should get a refund from them or from credit card company. last august we flew with them and they cancelled the flight on the day. we quickly booked with monarch a few hours later and kibris did give us the money we lost on the original flight even though they had made arrangements for us to travel to antalya on a different flight that evening

Just thought I would send this quick update - spoke to the KTHY offices in Pall Mall this afternoon and they said that their 'strike' is over and they are back flying from tonight/tomorrow and that not to worry about my flight on 6/8/10 back to London and hoped I have a nice holiday?

Some guests who are also booked with them for late July also checked with the CAA offices here in the UK, who said that although there were financial problems they were not permanently grounded?

Nothing about passengers flying either today or tomorrow. On the website kthy.net a few flights flew on the 23rd and the tel. number on the website goes to a message saying not available. if you are in U.K. try using 0207 930 4851 Good Luck Hope things settle back down again soon I've got family who have flights booked in October and we're not sure what to do.........

Just been chatting to a Atlasjet stewardess I know,they are now flying into manchester and stanstead,as from yesterday.

Regarding KTHY.. friends of mine was due to arrive Friday afternoon, they wouldn't have got here if they had decided to stay with KTHY, they rang Gatwick, rang all the telephone number they had and checked so many times on line plus sent e-mails all with no joy.... Again people staying in kalkan was due to fly home early this morning No flights...............So please be aware if you have got flights with Kibris KTHY you might not be able to get home or here...........I'm not trying to worry any one just trying ti help and make you all aware that there is problems....

Today's update - have a look on the Atlasjet website under FAQ, quite a lot about passengers with KTHY tickets... Let's hope it will all sort itself out soon!

operating since July 5th, 2010;

Passengers whom tickets were purchased from KTHY website, call center or ticket sales offices will be accepted on Atlas jet flights only in case of Atlas jet tickets will be issued to them. For issuing an Atlas jet ticket it is required to apply following:

1.  Click here to fill and submit your contact details and KTHY flight details
2. Request your alternative trip date from current atlasjet schedule on www.atlasjet.com this maybe diffrent from your original trip date and destination as you maybe aware atlas jet does not fly to all the destination that KTHY were flying .

3.  Click here for details of how to pay £20 per passnger, please note you can only chose from payment method 2 and 3 for payments.

4. Use your Reservation code as refrence so we can identify your payment or else we can not process your request.

5.Then call us on 020 7262 3222  or 075 2377 8446

6. after your payment confirmed over the phone, it usally takes  3-4 hours to get your  your KTHY ticket checked and converted to atlasjet.

7. we promise to  all KTHY passengers with the valid ticket that we will offer them a flight, on the current available route. we have extra members of staff working over night to deal with the requests we receive.

Our friends were due to fly EMA-DLM on 20 Sept with KTHY. They finally got through to a 'live' person who refused to send confirmation that their flight was cancelled. They offered MAN-DLM instead!(think that was Atlas)
There doesn't seem to be any mechanism for getting money back, and without confirmation cannot pursue through credit card issuer.
Seems as if they are not actually in administration, so stalemate.
They have re booked on other airline at exorbitant cost.

Has anyone else encountered this impasse?
