New Airport

I wondered whether anybody had any information regarding the new airport proposed for the other side of Kas I heard about when I was in Kalkan last month?

Won't be ready for 5 or 6 years apparently, but would obviously cut transfer time to well under an hour.

Don't know if this is good or bad news

Didn't hear anything about an airport at Kisla but did hear about one being proposed the other side of Kas. Can't remember the name of the place but think we passed nearby on way to Kekova.

Sorry I meant Kas - original post changed now!  Glad its not Kisla - thats where our place is!

From what I have heard the proposed airport near Demre will not be big enough to take the usual charter flights so it may not (hopefully) have a massive impact on tourism or transfer times unless you have a private jet of course.
 
I heard a rumour that work has already started on the construction
