Double Beds

Does anyone know if you can get smaller double beds than the regular 160 cms in Turkey.  I was thinking of something similar to the English standard double.

Hi Di you could always get them made - always providing you can get a mattress to fit

Yes, you can get 140cm doubles. They are just a bit bigger than a standard English double and widely available. We purchased 2 from Kalebeck (apologies for the spelling) last year.

We had a bespoke bed made for us by Kelebek.  They ordered us a full interior sprung mattress to our exact measurements - totally non-standard dimensions - and then had a frame made locally to accommodate the mattress.  It all worked very well and took about one month from enquiry to delivery.

That's one thing I love about Kalkan & Turkey - if it can't be found, it can be made and all done refreshingly speedily without fuss and bother   None of this 'it will be 6-8 weeks delivery' and then to find out your order's been delayed/stopped because the factory's sent the wrong size/closed down!!
