Calling Uk from Kalkan

I need to be in touch with home (self employed!!!) during my 2 weeks in Kalkan and was horrified when I contacted Orange as to the costs for me to call and receive whilst away.  Even if I add their world traveller bundle.
I have read on here that you can buy a calling card and call from the Post Office but the thread was a couple of years old. Can anyone update me on the situation?

Hi Nerissa
We always use the phone shop at the roundabout (next to Omar Sharif's brother's cafe). I chat for ages to my family and it never costs more than 2 lire. Highly recommended.

Hi Nerissa,
If there's a telephone in the place your stopping at you can buy a Turkish ALO card for 10 lira which gives you 100 units...The card is from the post office PTT ......or you can use the phone's inside the PTT which are very cheap....

ps not sure iif you could use it if your stopping in an hotel you'll need to check...........
