Calling home

Is it expensive to call home from call boxes in Kalkan ?  Is there a certain time it is cheaper after ?  Thanks

The old Rocktel used to be very cheap but it changed hands last winter and now is very expensive. The little wooden ''shop'' on the first roundabout, across the road from Breeze is cheap.

I always use the phones inside the post office. Really cheap. I''ve never paid more than 2 lire.

We always used the Rocktel telephone shop, but when we were in Kalkan in May they had changed hands and are now called Carpe Dieme. Without thinking we went in to use the phone and chatted away merrily to our family in the UK (as we always used to and it would cost about 2YTL). We could not believe the charge at the end of the call - 49YTL!! They apparently charge 3YTL per minute -  so please avoid this place at all costs.
We then used the telephone shop on the roundabout and the calls cost practically nothing.
