Villa Elite apartments

Hi,

I was hoping someone could provide some info on the Villa Elite apartments: http://www.elitekalkan.com/elite_apart/index.html?

Has anyone stayed there before, Are they close to town etc?

Also, I have heard that Kalkan is expensive (London prices) for eating out? Does this just depend on where you go?

Hi, we looked at staying at these apartments a few weeks ago, and found the following review on Mumsnet

The place is spotlessly clean and well maintained. The big pool was absolutely brilliant with small paddle/jacuzzi pool in corner. Pool shared between a maximum of four families. Kalkan is a lovely laid back town with lots of restaurants.

As to the prices in Kalkan they can be steep, but not quite London prices, if you want to eat good food sitting by the harbor or on a roof terrace.
 
However, there are lots of places that provide equally good food, without the views at reasonable prices.  NB We did notice a rise this year, at a guess up about 15%-20% from last year, about half from prices going up and half from the pound going down. Regards Alan

The apartments are centrally located and an easy flat walk into the village.  Can't comment on the interior as I've never stayed there.  One thing to be aware of, I don't think the views would be exactly what you are seeing on the website as villas/apts  have now been built in front of the Elite apartments.
