Contents Insurance
« on: May 17, 2010, 03:41:22 PM »
Hello
I need some guidance. I need to arrange contents insurance for a 3 bed apartment that we are purchasing ... (DASK is being arranged through our lawyers)
Intasure seems to be recommended on this forum and I was going to contact them for a quote but looking at their enquiry form on the website you need to provide the amount of the content insurance required .... My question is what would be the average amount of cover be for a 3 bed apartment ??
I look forward to your replies. Many thanks

Hi Clooneyrooney, only you know how much you spent when you kitted out your apartment :-\
When we originaly sorted out villa bits and peices around 5 years ago we spent around £7,000, we have a 4 bed place and put just about everything you could imagine, t.v and so on, we figured when arranging ours 5 years on it would probably cost around £15 to £18,000 so to be on the safe side we have just renewed ours for £20,000 ;)

Hope this helps!!!!!

Hi,
We have just insured our villa with Intasure. I think they thought~ £20,000 was right for a 3 bedroom villa. If you rent it, out they do an accidental damage bolt on of £50 or £150 excess. This might be worth considering. Just be careful with the quote, as I was quoted substantially less than my friend for the same size of villa in Kalkan.

Thank you Speed Freak! and Roxie for your replies. I wasn't sure about the cost of kitting out the apartment because it comes fully fitted apart from bed linen, towels and small kitchen utensils but I have contacted Intasure and I am now covered by them.
No doubt I will have lots more questions in time !!
Many thanks
