Coastal Walk
« on: April 09, 2010, 10:19:48 AM »
We are staying in an apartment close to the Regency and Lycia this summer. Looking at google earth it looks like there might be a way to walk into town along a coastal path that comes out somewhere near to the harbour.  Does anyone no if this is the case.  If so is it lit and how long the walk is likely to be

If you walkout of the Kalkan Regency Hotel, out of the main gate and turn immediately right stepping over the kerb stones and on to rough ground, leading down a quite steep, rock strewn slope you come out onto the lower coast road which leads you into town.

Alternatively, you can turn right past the front of the Lycia Hotel, at the end of the hotel you will find steps leading down to the road, with the sea on your right walk through to the Pirat Hotel and Harbour Restaurants.

Time: 15 mins walk in sensible shoes.

Have a great summer.

the first route Buster mentions is a lovely walk and the views are fab. Although we prefer to stay on the other side of Kalkan, we often go for a morning walk up this way and on to Kalamar.
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)
