Looking for 1 bed apartment to rent for 1 year

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could help me.

My Fiancee and I, found a little 1 bed apartment in town which we wanted to rent for 1 year when I was there in March. And we agreed that when I am back out there next week I would pay 6 months deposit. But to my great disapointment the man went and rented it to someone who gave him the full year in advance even though he had promised it too us so now we are stuck with no apartment.

Does anyone here know of any apartments to let as all I can find are holiday lettings or any websites that may be of some help. Infact any advice would be great as I am at a bit of a loss!

The best way to approach this ssu is to come out here and find somewhere from here, you can stay at the Nur hotel without notice and there are numerous pensions, with plenty of space throughout the season.
  Aparts generally rent from 400tl per month unfurnished to 600 or 650tl furnished per month
There are currently more than 500 empty properties iin kalkan and many builders who've been unable to sell will be only too glad to rent. the expat community here will help I'm sure

Yeah you are probably right about being there and having a look around.
I am over there on Monday and I am staying at my Mums place so I can just have a walk around and see what there is.
I was recomended a site that had some properties on it which I have contacted and there does seem to be some stuff around but it is finding the owners and talking to them that seems to be the issue.
Anyway, fingers crossed my luck with change, thanks for the reply :-)
