DOLMUS
« on: August 17, 2009, 04:29:22 PM »
Good afternoon.
Does local transport run to Hisaronu/Fethiye on a regular basis?
If so how long does it take and cost please?
Thank you.

I would also request similar information to Kas please. Thank you.

Buses go every day to Fethiye. You would have to change there to go on to Hisaronu. The buses run approx every half hour. The journey takes an hour and a half. First bus leaves Kalkan about 8 a.m., last bus back about 7 p.m.
Cost 10 lira each way (approx 90 kms)

Kas buses every half hour daily. Journey time 25 minutes, cost 5 lira each way.

All buses go from the Otogar (bus station) just on the outskirts of Kalkan - ten minutes walk uphill from the centre.

There are two bus companies operating this route. One charges 4 lira, one five. The 5 lira operator has slighter bigger buses, all air conditioned.

We did it a  week ago and its 5TL now and leaves when it is full but decied to come back at 3pm with just 6 of us on it, so not much chance of staying longer in Kas. Still cheap tho.
If hard work was such a wonderful thing, surely the rich would have kept it for themselves?
