Hello all.
Just a few lines to introduce myself. I bumped into the site by accident a few days ago as a result of my quest to eventually buy a home in Turkey.
I lived in Cyprus many years ago, but the cost of basic property, combined with exchange rates and title deed issues have made buying there a no go.
I have been scouring the various Turkish forums for about a year, doing research on where to buy.
I found EK and whilst I must confess, I've only ever been to Altinkum (Before it expanded somewhat) I think Kalkan ticks all the right boxes for me. A factfinding trip in the future will give me more of a feel as to whether or not I'm right.
Very informative site and will without doubt have many questions which will need answering by you knowledgable lot.

Welcome dogboy,
We also looked at Northern Cyprus and discounted it for the same reasons as you. Would deffo look again, if the situation there is ever resolved.
Have a look at the Owner's Lounge as there is good advice and info on there about buying.
