Weather end of August.

Visited Kalkan in late June, the weather was hot and sunny but not too uncomfortable except when we did our mountain goat impressions and attempted the hills on foot, but a few pit stops for liquid refreshment spurred us on and the intermittent breeze was refreshing . We did have two cloudy mornings but it was still really warm and the evenings were so pleasant with the lovely breeze making it really comfortable. Returning for the last week in August for two weeks just wondering what we should expect the weather to be like then. Wondering too how bad the mossies usually are then? The first week we were there in June despite taking all the precautions they still made a meal of us, much worse than last year, thankfully they left us alone the second week, must have found tastier victims!

Late August is scorching day and night, its difficult to keep cool, can sometimes be humid as well. Expect wall to wall sunshine with hardly a cloud in sight....... suits me fine. Temperatures can be in the 40's quite often!
