I''m coming to kalkan in July and was wondering if anyone knows anything about the villa we have rented ie how far out it is and how easy is it to get taxis etc. The villa is http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk/turkey/TK363.htm

Hi,

Your villa is high up above Kalkan and you would not be able to walk back from town in the evening. Depending on how old/fit your party are the walk in would take you about 25 minutes, maybe longer. Taxis are easy to hire and would cost about 10TL each way (more after midnight). You may find it more cost effctive to hire a car at least for part of your stay. Hope this helps. I am sure you will love Kalkan and all that it offers.

Thanks for the reply. I may consider a car hire for a few days. I heard there was a shuttle service into the town from the area the villa is in.
