Hi

Arriving Kalkan mid May with hubby and both being smokers wondered if it''s possible to buy menthol cigarettes and/or Drum tobacco?  If so, any idea of the prices - not sure if to bring a supply with us.

Not sure about Drum tobacco but you certainly can get menthol cigarettes in Kalkan. Maybe not your usual brand and might take a bit of getting used to but they are there. Price can vary from under £1 a pack to a couple of pounds depending on brand.

Why not buy them from your UK airport on the way out?

better to buy them at Dalaman on the way in,they did have superkings menthol last year plus others and they were about £12/13 for 200 . 
Dalaman also do rolling bacca,dont know about drum as I wasnt looking at rolling stuff .

How can you buy on the way in? Is it at the shops that are situated after you''ve collected your luggage..are they duty free?

the shopsat Dalaman are where you get your cases from..we always buy ciggies while we wait for the cases and the scrum to subside..whether they are classed as duty free or not they are cheap as fidimax says about £13 quidlies last year for superkings black....you can get rolling tobacco as i remember a bloke stuffing his flight bag with it...

certainly are,have you never tried them K4E,same prices as the ones on the way back home as far as I know,but they are a lot cheaper than the u.k.,and I think(but dont qoute me )you are allowed by turkish law to buy in them plus your allowance from uk,maybe someone can confirm this.

Although some rolling tobacco is available, I don`t recall seeing any Drum being sold in Turkey. It`s what I smoke, so I tend to keep an eye out for it, but I always make sure I take enough with me wherever I go.

thanks for the advice. I''ll make sure BH stocks up on cigs here as he''s usually smoked his entire duty free allowance before the end of the holiday
