Hi all

My name is Carol and I live in Didim. I am a retired Specail Needs teacher. I managed to retire early (lucky me!!)  I have a dog called Monty, hes 9 now and came with me from the UK.

I decided to live in Turkey as many do after holidaying here for many years.

I have lived here for 2 years now and have mixed feeling about some things. I do love it here but things do not always go smoothly.

As we speak, its raining in my house, the shop has run out of gaz and I''m frozen stiff!!!

Hi carolk!!..if it''s any consolation it was freezing here not so long back..the whole country came to a stop after a "bit" of snow...4 inches became "massive 5ft drifts" so folk couldn''t go to work!!even when the weather is fine many of our towns are overrun with feral teens.....stick with it !! you aint missing much here.....give monty a hug and when the gaz comes in buy a spare one

I really meant - its raining in my house!!!  The whole roof leaks. I have been so cold today its not true, I cant get the house warm.  Roll on the better weather!!!!

I have just started a thread ''Taking my builder to court''.  I get my Civil Engineers report tomorrow.  I know I haven''t said a lot yet but I''m just finding my way around the forum Lol, us newbies don''t know what were doing!!
