Advice on location of a villa

Hi everyone

We are thinking of going to Kalkan for 2 weeks at the beginning of September and found the villa Beyaz on ownersdirect http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk/turkey/TK1047.htm . It is apparently on the road up to Bezirgan (one of the last villas).

We were looking for a 4-5 bed villa with a larger size pool (10m+) that does not feel overlooked. We will have two small children in tow so will have a hire car, so we don''t mind if it is a bit further out.

We can''t find any reviews of this place so any information is appreciated.

Hi Monty - welcome to the forum! 

I am sure that you will find this villa absolutely fine and chances are that the pool is not overlooked (have you asked the owners that very question??).  Most villas are built on the hillside with lovely views and would tend only to be overlooked by neighbouring villas.  I would hazard a guess that this villa (from what you say and the pictures) is along the top road from Akbel junction to Bezirgan - which will be a VERY LONG and steep 15 minute walk and probably not physically possible at the beginning of September - but as you have a car - you have said that is not a problem.  My guess is that the villa is below the road and with the pool in front of that - then it is probably not overlooked from the road.  Unless you can find somebody who has actually stayed there - I think you will just have to question the owners carefully and take a chance..!!

This is one of three, the villas are nice inside and were new last year. The views are amazing.They have a nice pool area and are quite quiet, although probably the top one is the most private. As Felicity says they are below the Bezirgan road, in the area of Kiziltas.There is a pancake house and a Small market a short walk away. Car hire would be beneficial as it is quite a steep climb outside of Kalkan, alternatively you could walk down and taxi back.
