Somewhere to stay
« on: January 06, 2009, 07:23:48 PM »
Hi EK members

i was wondering if anyone could help me, i am looking at staying in kalkan for 3 weeks in july/august. Can anybody reccommend somewhere within walking distance of the town which is reasonably priced. The accommodation would be for one person so either a hotel or apartment would be ideal. i would be very grateful for any recomendations.

Hi Tamzin  I''ve travelled alone to Kalkan and have stayed at the Samira Garden hotel.  The location is ideal and I would certainly recommend it.

The Meldi hotel is within walking distance too - just a bit further along the Kalamar Road than the Samira Garden and is excellent for single people as they are such a welcoming bunch - staff and guests alike.  www.meldihotel.com

I can also thoroughly recommend the Meldi Hotel.  As Felicity says - you will be made very welcome by the staff and fellow guests.

Hi,
Can I suggest the Samira Hotel itself. We have had several single friends who have stayed there. The staff have been very kind and looked after them very well.
Enjoy your holiday

Travel one do "singles" holidays to hotel Dionysia which is very close to town - simple, but clean and reasonably priced.  Even if you didn''t want to book a package through them you could book direct with the hotel knowing there are other single travellers staying there and the hotel caters well for their needs.
