Snap, crackle but no pop!

"Snap, crackle, but no pop!" is the motto of Angel Radio, a radio station which I''m sure would be greatly enjoyed by many of those who visit or live in Kalkan.
We happened upon it recently, and have been listening to it non-stop ever since.


Angel Radio broadcasts nostalgia and reminiscence shows 24 hours every day. It''s aimed at older listeners, many of whom dislike the modern music on the radio dial,and who would rather listen to Bing Crosby than Robbie Williams, people who prefer Doris Day to Madonna, and couples who would rather dance to the music of Glenn Miller than Girls Aloud.

In the past few weeks, to our delight, we have heard Mario Lanza, Paul Robson, Anne Shelton, Arthur Tracy, Eddie Cochran, Elvis, Dean Martin, the list just goes on and on!

If you''re in the UK, you can find it on 101.1fm.
Here in Turkey you can listen to Angel Radio at http://angelradio.co.uk on the internet, or , since we have broadband now, on a digital radio if you have one.
They advertise that they will even play you a record from their huge library of 120,000 records if you telephone them on 00442392481988.

I really can recommend it to all of you!

We can endorse Piha''s recommendation. Friends living in Bezirgan introduced us to the delights of Angel Radio and neither they nor us could be described as old wrinklies. It plays great music and has a growing cult following of all ages.
