New Website for Kalkan - with live webcam!

For all Kalkan lovers here are some details about a live webcam (so we can see what the weather is like in Kalkan....and get even more homesick!!!) and a new website which has been sent to me -

A a new Kalkan website is coming soon. It''s going to be a local news and events website, with content supplied by Kalkan people.  One feature will be a webcam providing views over Kalkan Bay.  The website won''t be ready for a while, but currently there is a link to a holding page, which currently has still photos from the webcam.  The webcam has been set to take photos every 2 minutes. 
 
You need to register to see them, as they want to get an idea of how popular it is.  It''s quick and simple to register.
 
The web address is www.turkishlocalnews.com  Click on the photo to register.
 
A few tips for you on viewing:
 
1. When you register, a confirmation email should be sent to you instantly.  Click on the confirmation link to gain instant access to photos.
 
2. You can browse all the day''s photos by scrolling back 1 photo at a time, or 25 at a time.  This enables you, amongst other things, to see sunrises and sunsets with pictures at 2 minute intervals.
 
3. There are some great views to be seen from first light to about 1pm Turkish time.  Between 1pm and 4pm if it''s a sunny day you can get quite a bit of glare off the sea, and this can impact on the quality of the image.  After 4pm, until dusk some of the sunsets are pretty impressive.
